ReunionOS operates under a set of policies governing how we handle data, process payments, and define appropriate use of the platform. All documents are reviewed by legal counsel before going live.
These documents govern your relationship with ReunionOS and are effective as of our public launch date.
Governs the relationship between ReunionOS and all users — Organizers (schools) and Attendees. Covers permitted use, payment mechanics, fees, refunds, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law.
Explains what personal information ReunionOS collects (registration data, device data, payment confirmation), how it's used, who it's shared with, how long it's retained, and how to exercise your data rights — including rights under California's CCPA/CPRA.
For FERPA-covered educational institutions. Designates ReunionOS as a school official with a legitimate educational interest under 34 C.F.R. § 99.31(a)(1), defines processing scope and purpose limitations, lists approved subprocessors, and establishes breach notification and data return obligations.
Defines refund eligibility windows, amounts, and mechanics. In summary: full ticket refund plus 50% of the platform fee if requested more than 30 days before the event; full ticket refund only within 30 days; no refunds after the event starts. Stripe processing fees are non-refundable in all cases.
Details how ReunionOS charges Organizers: $5.00 per registrant for paid events (collected at checkout), $2.50 per registrant for free events (post-event ACH invoice). Covers what counts as a registrant, how Stripe fees work, multi-event billing, discount code treatment, and fee change notice requirements.
Defines what the platform may and may not be used for. ReunionOS is for alumni reunion event management at accredited educational institutions only. Fundraising, charitable solicitations, commercial events, and events longer than 7 days are prohibited. Also covers attendee obligations and enforcement procedures.
Explains the cookies ReunionOS uses: strictly necessary session and authentication cookies required for platform operation, optional functional preferences, and third-party cookies set by Stripe during checkout. Covers how to control cookies and California residents' rights under CPRA.
